The play is set on the eve of the explosive riots that ravaged Detroit in July, 1967. As the music and politics of the Motown era sizzle in the background, this moving, sharp-eyed drama explores the resilience of one family's - and one American city's - survival. According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune,this is: "A poetic play of fire-fueled dreams and frustrated love that is set against a backdrop of historic social unrest in Motown." This show includes adult language and may not be suitable for children under age 14.
